Jonathan Anthony Burkett feat. Ambelique · Upstormed Records
A reminder that you only get one life, so make it count.
One Life is Jonathan Anthony Burkett's signature song, recorded with reggae artist Ambelique. It encourages listeners to appreciate every moment and chase their dreams with determination, because we are each given one life to make a difference.
The release collects the original song with a run of remixes, including Club, Festival, Cut and Dub mixes and instrumental versions. When the One Life EP came out on Upstormed Records in 2019, I Am Hip-Hop Magazine covered it, noting the title track reworked into dub, EDM and techno/house versions.

Jonathan Anthony Burkett was born in Miami, Florida in 1987 and raised in Jamaica by his grandparents. Economic hardship and serious health challenges, including surgery in 2005, shaped his early life, but he refused to let them define him.
Reading and writing became his outlet. He has written a memoir, Neglected But Undefeated, the Friends 2 Lovers book series and Fighting To Become Champions, all published by Upstormed, and he founded Upstormed Records to release his own music.
His songs mix hip hop and soul with an uplifting message: change is hard but necessary, keep moving forward, and never give up on your dreams.
