Every season of Jonathan Anthony Burkett's life ended without asking him first. A happy childhood with his grandparents in Jamaica gave way, at about six, to a house in the States where he felt unwanted. Seizures arrived at fourteen. So did nights in cars and parks. Then came brain surgery on January 30, 2006, and a second chance he almost did not want.

In Everything Changes, Jonathan tells that story honestly and turns it into a guide for anyone whose ground is moving: a move, a loss, a diagnosis, a breakup, a job gone, a version of yourself you have outgrown. He writes about why we cling to familiar pain, how to grieve the life that is ending, what forgiveness changes first, and the small daily choices that turn change from something that happens to you into something that grows you.

Inspired by his song "Changes," this is a book for every person standing between who they were and who they are becoming. You are not who you were. That is the good news.
